Expressing milk should be painless. If it hurts, stop. ||Try to develop passions outside of work. Don't define yourself by your job, and have the courage to be imperfect. ||Set aside time for your partner and share what's happening in each other's life ||Excessive warmth and overdressing are as harmful as cold weather. Temperature inside your home should not exceed 23 degrees ||Use each feeding as an opportunity to build your newborn's sense of security, trust and comfort. ||Use a firm mattress and avoid placing your baby on thick, fluffy padding that may interfere with breathing if your baby's face presses against it ||If you have trouble emptying your breast, apply warm compresses to the breast or take a warm shower before breast-feeding ||Only close friends and relatives should visit you during your first month at home. They should not visit if they are sick ||As a new mommy, sleep when your baby sleeps. Silence your phone and ignore the dishes in the sink ||Plan for regular family meals. Enjoy being together as a family and give a chance for everyone to decompress from the day ||

Sessions will be held by Mrs. Sherine Khalil, General Psychology Specialist, at our Mohandessin branch. Each session lasts for 45 minutes.

What do these sessions cover?

  • Counseling children, adolescents and parents; providing support and guidance in relational, academic, emotional and personal areas.
  • Observing children and identifying those with specific challenges (hx of abuse, anxieties, ADHD).
  • Planning and implementing intervention programs both on individual and group level.
  • Counseling teachers of students with challenging behaviors.
  • Assessment of children's abilities and personality traits.
  • Integration of children with disabilities into main stream classes.
  • Training teachers on child development, class management and other related topics.

Activities are available in Arabic, English and German languages.
