Preservatives, fragrances, harsh soap, rough fabric, sweat, and stress can be potential irritants for babies suffering from eczema ||Try to develop passions outside of work. Don't define yourself by your job, and have the courage to be imperfect. ||Don't let your baby nap in the car seat after you're home as a substitute for crib since it's harder for young babies to breathe in that position. ||The AAP recommends sponge baths until the umbilical cord stump falls off — which might take up to three weeks ||In case of eczema, use mild, unscented body and laundry soaps. Pat baby's skin dry; don't rub ||Most newborns need eight to 12 feedings a day — about one feeding every two to three hours ||Toddler's appetite may change almost daily. Let her be the judge of how much she needs and wants to eat. ||Do not postpone your baby’s vaccines unless he is sick or feverish ||Only close friends and relatives should visit you during your first month at home. They should not visit if they are sick ||Design a kid corner and fill it with things safe for your toddler like Tupperware, toys, empty boxes, etc. ||

Iron-Fortified Formula may be associated with Neurodevelopmental Delays for Healthy Infants

 

In healthy, well-nourished infants without anemia, the use of high-iron (12 mg/L ferrous sulfate) vs low-iron (2.3 mg/L ferrous sulfate) formula for 1 year after age 6 months is associated with significantly lower scores on spatial memory and visuomotor integration at 10 years and potentially lower scores for IQ, visual perception, and motor coordination.

 

In infants who are iron-sufficient in the first year of life, use of a high-iron vs a low-iron formula for 1 year from age 6 months is associated with a significantly lower IQ score (by 11 points) at 10 years.
